Fanlights peaked in popularity during the 18th century when they became the focal point of a home’s frontage, they were often decorated with ornate designs. Fanlights are now regarded as an iconic part of Georgian architecture.
Fast forward to the 21st century and homeowners still love to install fanlights above their doors. They're still appreciated for both aesthetic and practical reasons.
